to the Scottish American Society of Dunedin! We are conveniently located in delightful downtown Dunedin off Main Street across from the Caledonia Brewery.
The City of Dunedin is rich in Scottish heritage. Dunedin (Dun-Eideann, Gaelic for Edinburgh) was founded by two Scotsmen in the 19th Century. With a Sister City relationship founded in 1964 with Stirling, Scotland, Dunedin maintains its strong Scottish roots.
The Scottish American Society of Dunedin was founded in 1980 and today remains true to its mission, promoting and preserving the Scottish culture. It is easy to wander the streets of Dunedin and hear the bagpipes playing and seeing people in kilts!
