Supporting Live Music In Dunedin
Music is one of the bedrocks of Scottish Culture. We at the Scottish American Society of Dunedin are proud to feature some of the biggest and best in Celtic Music as well as other genres of live music in our Scottish Cultural Center, located in Downtown Dunedin. We have featured bands from as far away as Scotland, Ireland and Canada. Bands like Off Kilter, the Byrne Brothers, Skerryvore, Screaming Orphans and Seven Nations. We have also featured solo artists like Aoife Scott and Haley Richardson. We are proud to bring you artists who don’t normally play in the local bars and restaurants around Florida but are featured artists at many big Celtic Music festivals throughout the Country and “across the pond”!

Past Concerts
In 2023, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Scottish American Society of Dunedin. During Tartan Week in April, we put on the biggest weekend with Scotland’s top band, Skerryvore. They held an intimate show called Back to the Basics, which took us back on their journey from the Isle of Tyree. They hosted a Whisky Tasting, introducing whisky from the many regions of Scotland and performed music to accompany. And finally, headlined the biggest concert ever held at Dunedin’s waterfront Weaver Park on the Gulf of Mexico! The show opened with the Suncoast United Pipes & Drums playing and marching off the 725′ Weaver Park pier, the Isle of Skye Highland Dancers, and Ireland’s The Byrne Brothers. Check out this video of the day taken by the City of Dunedin.
